GES Conference Informs, Engages Clients from Across the US

GES hosted our second Technologies & Trends Conference in Annapolis, Maryland at the end of September. The two-day event, themed “innovation starts here,” was attended by more than 80 clients, regulators, and technology partners. The product of many months of work, the event was planned and coordinated as a joint effort of GES’ Marketing and Engineering/IRSP groups. All of GES’ major clients were represented, both as attendees and speakers.

Forty presentations were given on topics ranging from regulatory changes to issues in site assessment, remediation, liability management, promising green technologies, and trends in UST site management. Between sessions, outdoor technology demos allowed attendees to learn more about the topics discussed. An exhibit room held technical posters and sponsor displays.

The conference goal was to bring together industry experts to share real-life experience and future perspectives. Tony Kull, company owner and CEO, opened the conference, welcoming guests and highlighting the unique opportunity for sharing among peers. Presentations throughout stressed lessons learned, new challenges, and promising developments.

Post-conference survey results provided very positive feedback with 100 percent of respondents noting that they would recommend this conference to others. One commented, “GES puts together a great opportunity to visit with knowledgeable people, and brings the industry together to experience up-and-coming technologies.”
