GES' Houston, Texas office has partnered with nicaSolum, S.A. to supply clean drinking water to the residents of Santo Tomas, Chontales Nicaragua. During the months of March and April in Santo Tomas, water levels in the local groundwater aquifers drop, causing a drought period. Many of the water wells in Chontales have gone completely dry. To help mitigate the problem, our Houston office supplied the town of Santo Tomas with enough fresh drinking water to last seven days. “GES cares deeply about the communities in which we live and work,” said Richard Box, Regional Site Operations Manager for the Gulf Coast. “We are proud to help out these residents in a time of need.” GES currently works in Santo Tomas maintaining a soil vapor extraction system. We are expanding our presence in the Central America region and are becoming more involved with the local communities.
