GES Nears 10th Year in UPitt's Co-Op Program

10/22/2007

Since 1998, GES has been a participating employer in the University of Pittsburgh’s Cooperative Engineering program. The program allows engineering students to participate in an internship where they can apply the knowledge that they learned in the classroom to first-hand experience in the engineering field. Many of GES’ engineers have been mentors to numerous co-op students since the company’s affiliation with the University began.

GES co-op students usually spend a total of three to four semesters here during their sophomore, junior, and senior years. We are pleased that many graduating co-op students have also decided to start their engineering careers with GES.

Lydia Ross, who recently completed her third rotation with GES, wrote an article about her experience for the Univeristy of Pittsburgh's Cooperative Education newsletter. Lydia's story, A Co-Op Experience, can be found on page two: www.engr.pitt.edu/coop/documents/NewsletterFall2007.pdf

We thank Lydia and our other co-op and intern students for their dedicated work and support.
