who?Safety
logo-lps.jpg Safety is a core value at GES. Our commitment to protecting our employees, clients, subcontractors, and communities is evidenced by our comprehensive Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Program. HSSE is enthusiastically promoted by upper management and implemented by a dedicated and well-trained team of HSSE officers at the corporate, regional, and local levels. HSSE is part of every client program and every on-site activity. This is accomplished in a work culture that capitalizes on job expertise, maximizes positive reinforcement, and practices a solid creed: providing direction from the top down while solving problems from the bottom up.

We have integrated the Loss Prevention System (LPS) program into every facet of our operations. LPS is a proactive, behavior-based approach to health and safety. It aims to prevent incidents by anticipating and resolving risks and hazards before incidents can result. LPS uses positive reinforcement to change individual behaviors and prevent occurrence of losses. Every GES employee-from technician to executive-works in an LPS environment. We use this management system to ensure consistency, quality control, communication, and evaluation of HSSE processes and procedures. GES is one of only three environmental consulting firms in the U.S. to hold an LPS license.

Our implementation of LPS has helped us achieve:

  • fewer injuries
  • general incident severity reduction
  • reduced property damage claims
  • fewer environmental incidents
  • increased productivity, reliability, efficiency
  • improved company competitive performance
