GES was founded in 1985 as a privately-held consulting firm providing a total environmental solution: assessment, engineering, remediation, site closure, and liability management services. Our founding partners were determined to create a company that fostered teamwork, creativity, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent service. LPS is further integrated into all company operations
Houston, Texas office opens, marking entry into the Gulf Coast region
Offices open in central and western Florida
GES reaches the West Coast with offices in California
Mobile HypeAir chemical oxidation units are on the road
ES&T division develops BailDown software, available through National Ground Water Association
GES technical conference is hosted for clients and regulatory community

Additional offices in the Southeast are acquired
Hydro Group is formed
Graphics/CAD department is centralized for consistency and quality control
Indoor air quality services are added

Virginia office opens, leading GES' entry into the Southeast
