GES is supporting the Township in meeting NJDEP Green Acres Program requirements for planned park upgrades. After completing a Preliminary Assessment (PA) that identified potential underground storage tank (UST) areas, GES is conducting Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys, soil borings, and soil and groundwater sampling to confirm or rule out USTs and related impacts. If USTs or contamination are found, GES will manage removal and implement remedial actions in full compliance with NJDEP Site Remediation Program (SRP) regulations, while coordinating work to maintain public park use.
This project showcases GES’s strength in environmental due diligence and remediation that helps municipalities secure Green Acres funding and move projects forward confidently. By identifying environmental concerns early and managing investigation, reporting, and remediation efficiently, GES reduces project delays and funding risks. The result is a safe, compliant, and sustainable park redevelopment that protects public health and supports community recreation and environmental stewardship.
