GES supports the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA) Brownfields Program by conducting ASTM- and AAI-compliant Phase I and Phase II Targeted Brownfields Assessments (TBAs) across Region 2, including New Jersey, New York, and Puerto Rico. Through this multi-site effort, GES provides environmental due diligence, site investigation, and data validation services that help communities evaluate environmental impacts and plan for cleanup and redevelopment. Site-specific planning documents—including QAPPs, Data Management Plans, and Health and Safety Plans—are developed to guide field activities, ensure compliance, and address unique site conditions. GES has successfully completed numerous assessments under this task order, overcoming challenges such as limited historical data in Puerto Rico through detailed field research and local engagement.
These efforts deliver accurate, actionable environmental assessments that support USEPA’s mission to restore and revitalize Brownfield sites. GES’s tailored, site-specific approach provides reliable data for regulatory assurance and confident decision-making while fostering transparency through collaboration with municipalities, property owners, and community stakeholders. The result is efficient project delivery, reduced administrative burden, and clear, data-driven recommendations that help USEPA and local communities advance cleanup and sustainable site reuse.
