The company has relied on GES to provide an array of consulting and field services related to health, safety, and environmental compliance at shale play development sites in the U.S. When an overflow occurred from production wastewater tanks at a Marcellus Shale play development site, approximately 1,000 gallons of flowback water impacted on- and off-site soil and groundwater.

The property owner of a former chemical manufacturing facility sought regulatory approval to implement site reuse plans that included restoring and reusing an on-site warehouse and distribution center. A remediation system had been operating on site, but was no longer effective in reducing contaminant concentrations. The owner sought regulatory compliance and added value to this commercial property.

The business plan of this multinational home improvement retailer includes purchase and reuse of diverse properties to expand their enterprise. Environmental consulting services are required to ensure safe and responsible purchase, redevelopment, and ongoing retailing operations. GES has supported this retail company with varied environmental services across the US for more than a decade.

A former manufacturing facility was entered into the state’s brownfield program. With additional financial backing from the Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund (CORF), a redevelopment company purchased the property and sought environmental cleanup and regulatory approvals to realize a revitalized commercial property. The 20.8-acre site includes building structures to be improved and reoccupied. However, chlorinated impacts in the area of former storage tanks near the building remained above permissible risk-based action levels.

This Class I railroad is responsible for managing the operations of 22 rail yards and five intermodal facilities located across the state of California.
