Brownfield properties are sites that were previously used for commercial or industrial purposes where the lingering presence of hazardous substances may limit or complicate the sale, redevelopment, or reuse of the property. Often located in metropolitan and urban in-fill areas with high real estate values, remediating these sites can be an attractive business opportunity for owners and redevelopers alike.

GES’ CSR program is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for the 2023-24 academic year. This program was created to reward academic excellence and social responsibility within the GES community, and once again we received applications from many talented individuals. Three recipients will each be awarded a $2,000 scholarship to support their ongoing academic studies. 

The Environmental Permitting Summer School has been held for the past 36 consecutive years and is attended by more than 1100 attorneys, consultants, engineers, state and local government officials, developers, landowners and others with a strong interest in environmental issues in Florida.
