John Brooks, from the Richmond, VA office, has been promoted to Vice President, Ecological Services. John started his career at GES in 2022 as the Director of Ecological Services bringing 26 years of prior experience. As Director, John has been responsible for the direction and growth of the ecological services practice within GES. He has worked on updating the standards, policies, procedures, and practices and advocated for the continued professional development for ecological services staff.
John regularly assists with client and business development activities in partnership with business development staff, sector leads, operations and/or program managers through strategy development, client meetings and presentations, and other client initiatives. His efforts have been quite successful.
Since joining GES four years ago, he has:
- Doubled the size of the ecological services team and expanded the stream bank design team
- Established over $1.5M in business with new clients and MSAs
- Booked over $1M in ecological services work with GES’ existing client base
- Maintained a book of business valued at over $750K
John is quick to collaborate with the BD team and other staff on client and technical strategy development. As Vice President of Ecological services, John will continue to be responsible for the tasks he has performed as Director.
