GES’ leadership has been monitoring the facts and response to COVID-19, with a focus on both federal guidelines and directives from local and state public health authorities where we have operations and environmental projects. With almost a month behind us since the pandemic struck the US, I am writing today to update you on the steps we have been taking and continue to take in response to what seems like an ever-evolving crisis.

Small businesses across New Jersey are starting to save money, share their successes, and inspire other companies by implementing sustainable business best practices. Joining this list of small businesses, GES recently became one of the companies in the state to be recognized as a New Jersey Sustainable Business.

The ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic has been a very stressful period for many. Because of the pandemic, the federal government and many states have implemented several actions to limit potential exposures and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which has led to business closures and/or limited the normal operations of many companies.

GES is celebrating our 35th anniversary today, February 5, 2020. Our co-owners, Tony Kull and Barry Myers, established Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) on February 5, 1985. Thirty-five years later, with nearly 500 employees and 29 offices nationwide, it’s amazing to think that GES began with only two rooms in a small office building. By 1986, GES had seven full-time employees in that building in Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, which was rural farm country back then. At the time, there were three shared computers.

The Florida Association for Water Quality Control is hosting its annual conference June 17 - 20, 2020 in Naples, Florida. The technical learning and networking event brings together key representatives from various industries, regulatory agencies, law firms, consulting practices, and vendors from across the state.

GES will once again exhibit at this year’s conference. Please visit the GES booth to meet our local team and learn more about GES.
